iPhone SE 2 Might Get A Glass Back Panel, And Retain A 3.5mm Headphone Jack

According to reports, Apple‘s iPhone SE 2 can sport a glass back panel and a 3.5mm jack.

This comes as latest rumors and leaks showcase the leaked pictures and even a video of a completely designed alleged iPhone SE 2.

The device is anticipated to launch either in May or at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 in June.

Apple making an exception for SE 2 with 3.5mm jack?

According to the leaked pictures, the iPhone SE 2 may have a glossy back panel rather than an aluminum one (like in iPhone SE), indicating that it might be glass to support wireless charging like within the iPhone X.

Further, the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack is more shocking as that’s one thing Apple has done away with in its devices previously.

Unreliable leaks and rumors

The iPhone SE 2 might look just like its predecessor iPhone SE. in the leaks, it sports the same touch ID, display, front camera setup, and bezels.

Other rumors suggest the phone can feature a 4.2-inch display, 2GB RAM, 32GB/128GB inbuilt storage, home button, and water resistance capabilities.

It might be powered by iPhone 7’s A10 Fusion processor rather than the older A9 chipset.

iPhone SE 2 might not come… by June
However, according to reputed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, there’s a decent chance that the iPhone SE isn’t coming back in any respect, at least not in the next few months. He said that it’s “unlikely” for Apple to launch the device this quarter.

It could be made in India, sell at Rs. 23,000

The iPhone SE was launched in 2016 and was based on iPhone 5 (2012).

It aimed toward providing a relatively cheap iPhone to markets like India. In fact, it was manufactured in India last year.

The iPhone SE 2 is also expected to be manufactured in India to let Apple avoid tariffs and sell it at a cheaper price, speculated to be Rs. 23,000.
